FreeMakan Creates A ‘SPARK' Of Hope For Families In Need

50 families from Kuala Selangor and Batu Caves were filled with hope and joy, knowing that their Merdeka Day celebration at home will be much more meaningful and wholesome, with food on their tables. On 30th August 2021, Community Mobiliser Madam Chandran from My Young Mind Association (MYMA) distributed 50 packs of groceries to B20 and B40 families living in Kuala Selangor and Batu Caves under the FreeMakan campaign.   Each grocery bag which cost RM50 per pack is filled with dry rations such as rice, cooking oil, flour, beehoon, instant noodles, sugar, salt, potatoes, and onions among others, and was sponsored by SPARK Foundation in collaboration with FreeMakan. As FreeMakan and its collaborative partners reach out to more vulnerable communities, join the cause or collaborate with us, to feed more families in need. Kita jaga kita. Together we can spark hope in someone’s life.
